Intervention Services
Bright Futures Learning offers several different models and levels of Intervention Services because every child has
different needs. We believe that ALL children can learn, and we are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who struggle
to attain academic success.
Clinic
For the child who has extreme difficulty function in the classroom setting and is severely learning disabled or suffers from
sensory processing deficits, such as visual/auditory processing, ADD/ADHD, our clinic setting is the most appropriate. We
assess each child for academic and sensory deficits. Based upon those results, we develop an individual prescriptive program
which presents each skill through the strongest learning modality of the child. We strengthen the weaknesses through the
strengths. Our clinic combines strategies for relieving sensory-integration based difficulties with research-based academic
therapies; the clinic staff offers a superior learning methodology.
Our holistic approach, Sensory Academics™, combines a research-based academic program with sensory-based activities. As a
child’s ability to acquire and organize new information improves, learning potential increases rapidly. This unique
program offers a diagnostic evaluation, which pinpoints the child’s strengths and weaknesses and determines why the
child is struggling. By following an individualized learning program based on these testing results, along with parental and
teacher input, students achieve significant academic growth. Through sensory-based academics, visual motor skills and
neurological integration increases. We believe “Treating the Whole Child” is the best method of achieving lasting results.
The children who attend the clinic gain self-confidence, self-determination, and success!
All Bright Futures Learning specialists are teachers who have obtained the master of education degree and are highly
experienced in their individual fields. Our normal 26 week program initiates with a minimum of six individual sessions. As
the child progresses, he/she is moved into a group of three to five children who are on similar learning levels. Six-week
mini programs are offered year-round to students who struggle with classroom skills. We provide trained and knowledgeable
learning specialists, who meet with teachers and/or partner with parents for representation at school meetings.
Focus2Read™
"When children are learning to read, more explicit instruction is often needed for the struggling learner. Early
intervention can prevent the effect of early reading risks for most students". (National Reading Panel, 2000)
Focus2Read™ is a highly structured, intense reading intervention program that actively engages
low achieving readers, while guiding them through carefully scaffolded skills, critical to the acquisition of reading. Designed
using current, scientific research and proven successful with readers scoring in the bottom quartile. Focus2Read™ provides
multi-sensory, direct instruction. Focus2ReadTM had proven to reach struggling readers, significantly improving reading levels
