The human body has seven primary senses involved in the learning process: Visual (sight), Auditory (sound), Tactile (touch), Vestibular (balance), Proprioceptive (body awareness), Gustatory (taste), and Olfactory (smell). The means by which we combine these senses to process and organize information is called "sensory integration." When sensory integration dysfunction exists, children are unable to process information efficiently and learning is inhibited.
At Bright Futures Learning Centers, sensory integration activities are key to our success with your child. Using a multi-sensory approach we can address you child’s sensory issues, get to the root of the problem, unblock barriers and increase learning efficacy. |
